About the Founders

Being born into the family farming business, Jimi Valov always wanted to expand the horizons of what it means to be a farmer. He knew he wanted to change things up, but he was still searching for an opportunity. Then, one day driving back from Visalia, a conversation between him and Armando, co-worker and old college friend, sparked the idea. Both saw the need for the pistachio snacking industry to grow through unique flavors and dynamic marketing. From that moment, ShellMates was born.
